"Reading the Auction" will give you insights into what your opponents and your partner said about the shape and strength of their hands, even if all they did was pass.
About Valarie Remmers...

Valarie Remmers is a co-owner, director, and teacher at Friendly Bridge Club in Plano/Dallas. She started playing rubber bridge in the late 90s and started playing duplicate sanctioned bridge in 2005.
When traveling to National and Regional Bridge tournaments, especially in the early years of her bridge career, Valarie took advantage of the speakers and lessons to continually improve her game. There are lessons to be learned in every game you play, but you have to be open to learning the lessons by going through the hands.
